I echo Mike’s comment. A buddy of mine and I went fishing yesterday and each caught a nice catfish on the fly!
Gar
I concur with a number of the other posts in that they look like Gar, but unable to tell if Spotted or Alligator. My best guess is Spotted Gar.
Narwhal
Tripletail. Fun fish on a fly rod if it is a Tripletail.
I think it is a catfish of some type. Judging by the colors, I am going with a Bullhead.
Shortnose Gar
Pickerel
carp
triple tail
If it’s not a Tripletail, it must be a Mutton Snapper.
If not Tripletail or Mutton, is it a Triggerfish?
Enjoyed seeing you and Doug in Delacroix recently. After you left we had pleasure of watching these brutes in a alligator gar orgy. Pretty impressive. I have fished in La marshes a long time and never have witnessed this.
freaking gar ate my dock bouy, pulled it out of the water and it was filled with holes and teeth marks… Lewis Smith lake in Alabama btw. seen some huge gar the past year or so.
redfish
Pike or Musky? Just trying something I didn’t see already guessed
