This Saturday’s shoutout I showcase the video trailer, Urban Lines – Fish Where You Are produced by TwoFistedHeart Productions, “Bro Code”, by 111 Degrees West and spread the word about the Fly Talk Rio Fly Line giveaway.
This particular fly fishing video hit home with me on a very personal level. It’s so easy for us to get all caught up in only wanting to fly fish the cream of the crop locations. Yes, blue ribbon trout streams and exotic destinations are great, but it’s important for all of us stay grounded and be grateful for the waters we’ve been blessed to have in our back yards. Who cares if they don’t hold trophy class fish. True fly fisherman should always see beauty and respect for all fish caught on fly regardless of size or species.

This short fly fishing article by 111 Degrees West shows the importance of keeping the “Bro Code” alive on the water, even when you find yourself being out fished. No matter who catches the fish, if we choose to fish with others, we should always see ourselves working as a team towards a common goal. And if you often say like I do, “I enjoy seeing others catch fish just as much as myself”, then you need to be prepared to live what you preach. Check out the full article by clicking here
Since we’ve been running a couple contest giveaways lately, and all of you seemed jazzed about winning free fly gear, I thought I’d give you a heads up there’s one going on at Fly Talk as we speak. Tim Romano is giving away a Rio Gold fly line if you can guess the species, what fish was caught and on what fly. This is a very fun and interesting twist on how to giveaway gear. Go check it out now and enter for your chance to win.
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and thank you to all of you who continue to show unwavering support for Gink & Gasoline.
