Some of my favorite folks have come together to deliver an important message about steelhead.
Tom Rosenbauer, Tim Romano, Kate Taylor Dylan Tomine and Todd Tanner take you to the river for some beautiful scenery, great steelheading and a sobering call to action. This trailer for “Chrome” the new film from Conservation Hawks is as riveting as sobering. If you love steelhead, take the time to watch the film and get involved.

Not to belittle the efforts or message of those involved here but there’s a bit more to the scenario they’re talking about. The greatest identifiable impact on the stocks and rivers they are fishing in the film is commercial fishery interception. That is an issue that people can actually do something about. Check out what the Southeast Alaska and northern British Columbia net fisheries do to steelhead bound for the Skeena, Nass, Stikine and Taku river steelhead first, then tell us about ocean acidification. No contest, at least not in the present.
