This week’s Saturday Shoutout we spotlight the fly fishing magazine, Southern Culture on the Fly (Issue #9) and the fly fishing film WAYPOINTS (and it’s upcoming Colorado Showings).

Fly Fishing Magazine: SCOF #9 Fall ISSUE

Our good friends at Southern Culture on the Fly (SCOF) recently released their 2013 Fall Issue and it’s a “Jim Dandy” of a read folks. If you’ve grown to love reading this quarterly fly fishing magazine, we promise the Fall issue won’t dissappoint. They’ve got some solid new Southeast contributors in this issue, and you’re going to get plenty of good laughs, you’ll learn some cool fishing and tying tips, and as usual, you’ll get fired up to get on the water from all the killer photography spreads. Hats off to our boys in NC, and congrats on another superb issue. We’re really proud of you guys and we’re honored to be representing fly fishing in the same backyards. Please Check it out now if you haven’t had time yet.

Join us NOVEMBER 8TH as we launch Waypoints in three cities all across Colorado. Beyond an amazing night of epic cinematography and gratuitous worldwide fly fishing porn, November 8th will also be a much needed conservation event for front range fisheries. We are working with Front Range Anglers, and Colorado TU to create a relief fund called “Restore the ‘Range.” We are hoping that for this one night we can come together as a state to help out our friends in need along the front range that have been impacted be the devastating floods earlier this year.

We are donating 100% of the proceeds from all three shows to the Restore the Range fund.

Similar to other Confluence Films projects, WAYPOINTS is a multisegment collection of individual stories shot around the world in both fresh and salt water. Created by the same team that brought us Drift, Rise and Connect, Chris Patterson and Jim Klug, WAYPOINTS promises to be one of the best multi-destination flyflishing films ever made. Check out the links to the upcoming showings across Colorado.
