Once every year, folks from around the world come together to see what’s new in fly fishing gear for the coming year. It’s always exciting, fun and educational. More than just a chance to catch up with old friends and see what’s new, it electrifying havering the smartest people in the fishing industry under one roof. Now combined with ICAST, the conventional fishing show, it’s bigger and more exciting than ever.
This years show was awesome! Very energized with tons of cool new products. We will be bringing you our video coverage and product reviews from IFTD over the coming weeks. Today we’ll kick it off with a little fun, behind the scenes at IFTD with Gink and Gasoline. Including some blooper reel moments.

Pretty funny Louis, I’ve been there. I use to have a booth at the Timonium Fly Show in Maryland years ago (when I lived in Md), until it stopped in the early 2000s, Lefty always had a demonstration there. Also would attend the College Park Fly Show at the U. of Md., as well as the massive Fly Fishing Show & convention at Somerset NJ. It would take you a day just to walk around the whole show there, held at the Garden State Convention Center. I love to converse with some of the greats of fly fishing like Lefty, Tom Dorsey of T & T as well as the late great Jack Gartside who passed away some years ago. I highly recommend people to attend these shows, you’ll discover new materials, talk to the experts, and meet some new friends.
