The Results Are In!

The 2011 Gink and Gasoline Fly Fishing Photography Contest was a big success. We received so many great photos that we were overwhelmed, as were the judges. It’s exciting to see so many folks out there are so excited about sharing their experiences on the water. It was a tough choice but the judges have made their decisions and the results are as follows.

First Place and the Redington Sonic-Pro Stocking Foot Waders goes to, Jeff McDonald

Second Place and the Fishpond Piney Creek Tech Pack goes to, Chad Chorney.

Third Place and the Rio Gold fly line goes to Jeffrey Feczko.

Congratulations to the winners!

Again, let me say thanks to our Judges; Tim Romano, Claudia Lopez and Paul Puckett. And to our generous sponsors; Redington, Fishpond and Rio. And most of all to all of you who entered your awesome photos. There really were so many great entries. Click here to see them all!

  1. Thank you SO MUCH! This is awesome!!!

I took this shot in September of this year with my GoPro camera while in Belize with my dad. We were on Savannah Flats just west of Ambergris Caye while fishing with El Pescador Lodge. Our guide was poling us into position to sight tarpon, and the sun was right behind him. It was actually a bit of a lucky shot, as the GoPro cam does not have a view finder or any real lens adjustment. I love that the shot captures the feel of being out there in the panga, with the old chairs and the natural pole.

  2. WOW-WOW~WOW!! some incredible images~ truly an excellent compilation of the beautiful places this sport takes us. The little guy on the Jon cracks me up> you should make a calendar for next year with the top 12-14 images…

  3. This was at the top of my list when i saw them. I feel even more impressed with jeff’s shot knowing that it was not taken by a pro by with a high class camera (NO OFFENSE TO ANYONE). All were great submissions with quite a few magazine quality shots. Especially the guy with the impressive mooseknuckle showing through his waders 167!!….he just looks like someone I would want to fish with (not because of the Knuckle)!!!
