Gone now, but mom started it all. Drove this 10 year old across the San Fernando Valley outside of Los Angeles, to Hansen Dam to fish worms for bluegill and bullheads. 68 years later still fishing every day, 3-4 months a year. Thanks mom.
Oh, and mom might have invented the float tube as a piece of gunny sack sewed across an inner tube, and the fishing vest by sewing a bunch of extra pockets on an old Levi jacket.
