Although totally worth your time, this weeks Shoutout is admittedly self-serving.

I have a little wager going with my good friend Andrew Bennett at Deneki Outdoors. Kent and I feel like our readers are the best and most loyal readers on the web. We did a Shoutout to Deneki a while back, and felt pretty sure that we would show up as Andrews #1 referring site. Sadly, we are stuck in the #2 position.

WE DON’T LIKE BEING # 2!

I made a bet with Andrew that we could change that and I’m counting on your help. Please, let’s show these boys what the G&G family can do. Follow this link to read Andrews awesome review of the new Sage Light Saber.

Thanks!

Come fish with us in the Bahamas!

  1. The new Sage sounds like a great rod. I may have to see if I can find somewhere to try one out. Geez, if I buy yet another rod I am probably going to be relegated to sleeping in the back of my PU!
Hope “we” take the #1 spot. Vince Lombardi was right on, winning isn’t everything, it is the ONLY thing. 🙂

  2. Does anyone still make a decent wading sandal anymore. SIMM made the black one for a while with Keen. It was ok held the rocks in the toe which sucked but they were durable. I still use mine. Orvis had a good one but no toe cover but I liked them better than the Simms/keen. I know many like neo socks and then wading boots but its summer man and sandles are the way.

    • Eric,

I Googled fly fishing wading sandal and I found quite a few options. I generally wear my Chaco sandals when I’m not wearing a wading boot. I’ve got them one size larger so I’ve got some extra room for toe protection. They work great for me when I’m in my drift boat but I do agree there’s better options out there for traction and toe protection.

    • Tal,

Thanks for the G&G Love and we thank you for taking the time to check out Deneki.com. Andrew and his staff do a fantastic job regularly writing very informative content to help anglers improve their skills. I visit it regularly and I’ve learned a great deal.
